I didn't attend the forum (sorry), but I'm curious what the candidates' positions are on deferred maintenance. I know that Katherine Power wants better communication among CBE departments to ensure that maintenance doesn't occur after the decision has been made to close a school. That's great, but it doesn't really address the main issue of reducing the maintenance backlog.
AP: It's a good question. I'd suggest getting in touch with the Power campaign directly and asking this important question. They don't list a phone number, but there is a "contact" form on their website.
Let us know if you get a response! (and, alternatively, if you don't... that speaks volumes as well).
