Smith vs. Dyrholm, Today from that little speaker on your desk...

The 2 remaining leadership hopefuls for the Wildrose Alliance, Danielle Smith and Mark Dyrholm, will be taking questions and calls on the Rutherford Show on CHQR (770 on your AM dial) during the 11 o'clock hour.

Reactions and thoughts in the comments section of this post, please. :)

- E.S.

p.s. If anyone reading today was at last night's WAP Leadership Debate (when there were THREE candidates), I'd love to hear your thoughts and observations as well.

ES.. In my opinion, Mark Dyrholm sounds like a robot...cadence and all. I am sure he is a nice guy and all, but to me...he has no chance with the General Public.

Danielle on the other hand, is on a whole other level. Given her media background, she is calm, clear and easy on the ears. The media loves her, which could be a dangerous thing.

Can anyone give a semi-accurate count on last night's attendance? Herald reported 400, but given their wildly-inflated number for the Edmonton forum (they said 275, using the WAP number, when several people who were there say it was more like 160), I find it hard to believe. And before the WAPbots climb up my ass, even 300 would be an impressive number.

Easily over 400 at the debate last night. The room was full, with at least 100 people standing, and they had to turn people away at the door because of fire code issues.

Not inflated one little bit, watch the news there was plenty of media there.

Danielle came across as a polished speaker but lacked passion. Mark had more passion but wasn't as well polished. The big surprise of the night was Jeff Willerton's endorsement of Mark. Seems like Mark could have the socon vote wrapped up -

Smith is so, so ideological. She is the last person we need. Heck she's endorsed by Ezra Levant - that says it all.
